Telehealth Services
Video consultation is available as an alternative method for clients to access services at Inspire Psychotherapy.
How does it work?
Your Telehealth appointment will be conducted just like a face-to-face session – you will be able to see, hear and interact with your psychologist ‘virtually’ for the length of the session. Our reception will contact you following your appointment to schedule future appointments.
What do you need to access Telehealth?
A computer, iPad or mobile device with a stable internet connection and access to a video and microphone. is all that is required. Please keep in mind that it is not recommended you use your phone without WiFi as you may use a lot of data.
We conduct our online sessions using Zoom’s encrypted software to ensured this platform is secure. Your confidentiality is important to us. Prior to your appointment you will be emailed a unique Meeting ID number for your session to be enter into Zoom when prompted.
Can I access rebates?
People living in rural and remote areas of Australia may be eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid referral from their GP. You must live in areas 4 through 7 of the MMM to access services. Please see the MMM website to check your eligibility and our Medicare Telehealth fact sheet form more information.
As of 30th March 2020, under the National Health Plan in response to COVID-19, the new MBS Telehealth items will be available for all Australian Medicare card holders. For factsheets regarding the temporary Telehealth items for COVID-19, please visit MBS Online. In order to be eligible for Medicare rebates, Telehealth appointments will still require a Mental Health Care Plan as issued by your GP or specialist. Please note, GP appointments are now available via Telehealth.
Clients without a rebateable referral will be required to pay our full fee. Private health may provide rebates. Please contact your provider to determine eligibility.
